Be an integral part of the accounting team by ensuring the accounting functions are completed efficiently within regulatory compliance guidelines in a timely and accurate manner. Ensures that accounting activities are in accordance with GAAP and established legal, regulatory, and Credit Union policies and procedures. The position is responsible for delivering outstanding internal service to fellow employees.

The hiring range for this position is $84,960 to $144,000 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Prepare month-end closing of the accounting records and general ledger
- Oversee the daily activity and monthly reconciliation of correspondent banks accounts
- Monitor general ledger accounts for propriety of entries, review discrepancies and initiate solutions
- Aids and advises branch and department managers in handling accounting entries, reports, and various comparative analyses
- Review and approve prepaids, fixed assets, AP Invoices, GL Reconciliations
- Prepare and submit financial data to NCUA (5300 quarterly call report)
- Ensure accounting functions are completed in accordance with regulatory compliance
- Review, analyze, and report on variances within the financial statements for all credit union departments
- Ensure all charge off, recoveries and delinquencies are accurate and reconciled
- Manage all bank accounts for the CU, ensuring accuracy of authorized signers and compliance with banking regulations
- Oversee the Investment portfolio
- Work with IT team to ensure new products and services are set up within the core systems
- Assists and support CU personnel. Responds to questions as needs.
- Partner with PFCU leaders to assist in understanding variance drivers
- Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) (Required)
- Organized and goal oriented
- Conflict resolution & decision-making skills
